What Is an Airless Spray-on Coating System?

Airless spraying pumps the coating at high pressure through a fine tip, atomising it into an even, controlled mist. Applied across a properly prepared roof, it builds up a seamless, monolithic membrane — one continuous layer with no brush joins, no roller laps and no weak seams for water to find.

That continuity is the whole point. A roof coating only performs as well as its weakest joint, and spray application removes the joints entirely — the membrane flows over the flat sheets, down into the corrugations, and around every fixing and penetration as one unbroken skin.

The Application Process

Stage 01

Preparation

The roof is cleaned, corrosion is treated and the surface is primed. Spray or not, adhesion is decided here — a coating over a dirty roof will lift, however well it's applied.

Stage 02

Detailing

Joints, laps, fixings and penetrations are reinforced first, so the most vulnerable points carry extra protection before the main coats go on.

Stage 03

Spray Application

The performance coating is sprayed in controlled passes to the specified dry-film thickness — as many coats as it takes to build the full, seamless membrane.

Stage 04

Curing & Sign-Off

The coating is left to cure properly, then inspected for coverage and thickness, and handed over with a workmanship guarantee.
